So, in light of the Thanksgiving holiday right around the corner, I have to say that there has been a lot to be thankful for this year. I try not to oversee the obvious when it comes to life and good health, and I have been blessed with both. Strong faith in God, and a loving family both immediate and extended has encamped me along the way. Looking back at the year that is already behind us, I can say that it has been a joy to have explored my talents and creativity, to bring them to light, and to share them with you. The experience has been life-changing, and I believe that it can be the most rewarding thing to search deep down inside you for the gifts and talents that is within. It tells you a lot about yourself as an individual, and creates avenues in life that you would never think to explore if you had not searched.
I do understand the daily grind that a lot of us face just to make a living, but the truth is that our lives are worth more than just a 9-5 with benefits! Finding your niche, or the hobby you gravitate to if given a little free time, may bring that rich authenticity that you have been craving to make your life worth every minute.
We bought a house recently but the process was a humbling one! I have been waiting a long time for this moment and thought to myself how much decorating I will be engrossed in when the time comes. Lol. However, I haven’t been able to get past the thankfulness I feel in my heart for something that is so simple to others, but holds tremendous value to me in the effort it took to attain it. It is another step up the rung of the ladder, a maturing or coming of age that sets the bar just a little higher for the next step. It will definitely make the list this year as another one of the things I am most thankful for.
Beyond the fall decor, the turkeys and pumpkin pies, there is a life that we live filled with the joys of simple things we tend to overlook. Things like living life in full colour: trying new things, stepping out on faith, or thinking outside of the box. People move through life so quickly these days that they forget to celebrate it. Make the most out of each day and never forget to look back at it in true appreciation. If you really think about it, you will find that there is much to be thankFULL for.
