Sunday: At Home

I woke up early this morning to catch Costco before the morning rush. By the time it opened, there were roughly 100 people in line waiting to go in. I was immediately discouraged:( I understand the lineups, but I hate them! I found myself listening to music, which helped alleviate some of the anxiety. It was hot, my friends, and I was out there baking at 400 degrees celcius! When I got home, I made myself an iced coffee and did a quick check on the hubby who was fixing a minor crack in our master ensuite shower, and this is what I walked into:

What the #*@*?!!! I feel like I’m in knee deep the twilight zone without a hope or a prayer! This was not part of the “fixer up” deal, but he claimed that there was significant water damage to most of the drywall. It has to be done. So, what do you do when you have really elaborate dreams about your ensuite, but you are forced to take the simple route that will still cost you what you don’t have today? We will find out soon enough! Let me just say that this bathroom may take months to complete, because as I mentioned to you when the deck was finally completed, my husband is a BIG procrastinator!

Well, looking on the brighter side of things, at least I won’t have to worry about the shower portion of my ensuite makeover. It will definitely have a head start on the finished product! We have to take things one day at a time to get through life’s little surprises. Otherwise, we just won’t make it in this world! I think this calls for a nice glass of wine, and a first draft budget. We are definitely in for one crazy ride! Happy Sunday everyone!
